TL;DR — How we handle your data
- We collect Discord IDs, usernames, scrim stats, and ticket logs so we can run scrims and handle moderation.
- We may see Patreon usernames/emails, but payments are processed by Patreon — not Cano.
- Logs are usually kept, but you can request deletion. Cano Management will review each request.
- We do not sell your data.

1. Information We Collect
We only collect the information needed to provide our services.
From Discord
- Discord User ID and username
- Messages sent in support tickets and moderation logs
- Scrim statistics (kills, wins, placement, etc.) provided via Yunite and similar tools
- Ban or moderation records
From our website (canoscrims.com)
- Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) for security and analytics
From Patreon (supporters only)
- Patreon username and email address surfaced through the Patreon platform
- We do not collect or store payment details. All payments are handled securely by Patreon.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Run scrims, leaderboards, and community features
- Provide ticket support and handle moderation issues
- Improve Cano services through debugging, analytics, and security reviews
- Manage Patreon perks such as Discord roles for supporters
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
3. Sharing of Information
We may share limited information with:
- Cano Staff (Discord moderators) to keep the server safe and enforce rules
- Cano Management for scrim operations, dispute handling, and reviewing data requests
- Service providers such as Yunite (scrim stat processing) and Patreon (donations)
- Law enforcement, if required by Australian law or other applicable regulations
We do not share information with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
4. Data Retention
- Discord IDs, usernames, scrim stats, and related data are stored until Cano Management determines they are no longer needed.
- Ticket logs and moderation records are normally permanent but may be deleted upon request, subject to review and community safety requirements.
- Website logs are stored temporarily for security purposes.
- Patreon data remains with Patreon; we only access it through their platform.
5. International Users
Cano Scrims is based in Australia but welcomes players across Oceania (including New Zealand and nearby countries). We aim to handle your data in line with Australian privacy standards and take reasonable steps to protect and explain how we use your data, regardless of where you live.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to the information we store about you or ask questions about how it is used.
Requests to delete ticket or message logs are assessed by Cano Management. We may not be able to delete records if doing so would compromise community safety or moderation obligations.

7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting access to data and using trusted third-party services (Patreon, Yunite, Cloudflare). However, no online system is 100% secure.
8. Children
Cano Scrims is only available to users aged 13 and older, in line with Discord’s Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of our services means you accept the updated policy.
